(Sports Network) – The Philadelphia 76ers were defeated by the Memphis
Grizzlies, 91-87, on Saturday at the Wachovia Center.

Allen Iverson paced the 76ers with a game-high 34 points. Iverson was 12-of-27
from the field as the Sixers suffered their third loss in four tries. Glenn
Robinson had 20 points and Samuel Dalembert netted 13 in a losing cause.

“Lack of ball movement and lack of sharing the ball really hurt us in the
second half,” Sixers coach Randy Ayers said. “It was just lack of execution.”

Robinson’s jumper with less than six minutes to go in the game extended
Philadelphia’s lead to 84-78. Memphis then scored five straight as Mike
Miller’s first basket made it a one-point game.

Iverson then put the Sixers ahead by three, 86-83, with a driving layup. He
was fouled on the play but missed the free throw. Pau Gasol would score two
straight baskets for an 87-86 Memphis lead, but Iverson sank 1-of-2 from the
stripe to even the score with 53.6 seconds remaining.

Memphis then grabbed a quick 89-87 lead after Miller scored his second basket
of the game on a layup off the backboard. Iverson missed a close shot on the
other end and Bonzi Wells was fouled on the rebound. The former Blazer drained
1-of-2 shots and the Grizzlies had a 90-87 lead.

“A lot of us have to start pointing the finger at ourselves,” a downtrodden
Iverson said after the game. “This was a tough one.”

Kyle Korver put up an off-balanced three for Philadelphia and Miller sealed
the win with a foul shot.

The 76ers are off until Monday when they host the Seattle SuperSonics.
