McDyess placed on injured list
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Phoenix Suns forward Antonio McDyess was
placed on the injured list Monday with tendinitis in his left knee.
McDyess has played in 22 games this season, including four for the Suns since
being acquired from New York in the trade that sent Stephon Marbury to the
Knicks. McDyess has averaged 7.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest.
Meanwhile, forward Maciej Lampe was activated from the injured list. He was
placed on the IL in late October because of shin splints.
In other news, forward Amare Stoudemire missed Monday’s game against the
Lakers after he aggravated a left ankle injury. He is also expected to sit out
Wednesday’s contest at Denver.
Stoudemire had missed 18 games with the sprained ankle. In 23 games this
season, he is averaging 16.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per outing.
