Hornets’ Davis doubtful for game against 76ers

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – New Orleans Hornets starting guard Baron
Davis is doubtful for Wednesday’s home game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 24-year-old Davis suffered a sprained left ankle during the fourth quarter
of Monday’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Before leaving the contest
with the injury, Davis scored 25 points and dished out five assists.

Davis has played in 41 games for the Hornets this season. He leads the team in
scoring (24.3 ppg), assists (8.0 apg) and steals (2.46 spg). The UCLA product
is also averaging 4.2 rebounds per game.

After playing Philadelphia on Wednesday, the Hornets (23-18) will host the
Denver Nuggets on Friday and will then visit the San Antonio Spurs on
