(Sports Network) – Antoine Walker scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds
for his 19th double-double as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the New Jersey
Nets, 106-93, at American Airlines Center.

Dirk Nowitzki recorded 19 points and 10 boards for the Mavericks, winners of
five straight games. Michael Finley added 18, as did Steve Nash, who returned
from a one-game absence stemming from a sore hip.

New Jersey was down by as much as 13 in the fourth frame when Walker’s tip
made it 96-83 just past the midway point of the final quarter. The Nets
rallied for seven straight points over the next two minutes to close the gap
to six points at 96-90.

However, Dallas withstood the attack, countering with six straight points to
take back command of the game at 102-90, as a layup by Walker finished out the
run with less than two minutes on the clock.

Dallas tied a franchise-low with only four turnovers on Tuesday, doing so for
the fifth time in team history.

On the injury front rookie Marquis Daniels missed the game with the flu.

The Mavericks return to action on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
