(Sports Network) – The San Antonio Spurs try to make it three straight wins
tonight when they welcome the New Orleans Hornets to the SBC Center.

On Friday, Tony Parker’s jumper with 3.8 seconds remaining lifted the Spurs to
an 86-84 victory over Phoenix at America West Arena.

Parker scored 11 points and Tim Duncan paced the Spurs with 25 points and 12
rebounds. Rasho Nesterovic added 16 points for San Antonio, which won for the
third time in four games and for the seventh time in its last 11 tries.

Trailing by four, the Spurs scored four straight and knotted the game at 84 on
Nesterovic’s dunk with 36.5 seconds to play. Joe Johnson then drove the lane
at the other end, but lost the ball out of bounds.

Parker then drilled a long-range jumper as the shot clock wound down for the
winning basket.

San Antonio, which will hit the road for a pair of games after tonight’s
contest, has won three of four and 10 of its last 12 at home and is 17-5 in
its arena this season.

San Antonio defeated the Hornets earlier in the season and has won three
straight and five of the last six meetings. New Orleans has also lost three of
its last four in San Antonio.
