(Sports Network) – Jason Richardson poured in a game-high 31 points, as the
Golden State Warriors snapped their 12-game road losing streak by beating the
Portland Trail Blazers, 105-87, at the Rose Garden.

Richardson’s day was highlighted by his seven consecutive three-pointers, as
he went 7-of-8 from behind the arc. Speedy Claxton added 15 points, while Mike
Dunleavy and Cliff Robinson each scored 11 points in the triumph. Claxton and
Dunleavy also dished out seven assists each.

Eric Dampier had a huge night as well, scoring 18 points while ripping down a
game-high 20 rebounds for Golden State.

A 10-7 spurt, capped by Brian Cardinal’s two free throws, gave the Warriors a
seven point cushion at 86-79 with under nine minutes to play in the game.

Both teams would exchange baskets in the middle of the quarter, until
Richardson’s back to back three-pointers gave the Warriors a 96-83 advantage
with under four minutes remaining in the contest.

From there, Portland went ice cold down the stretch, as it never threatened

The Warriors return to action on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
