(Sports Network) – The Boston Celtics lost to the New Jersey Nets, 110-91,
in a battle of Atlantic Division powers on Sunday at the Meadowlands.

Ricky Davis paced the Celtics with a game-high 26 points. Paul Pierce
struggled as he finished with 13 points on just 3-of-15 shooting for Boston,

Boston to within 14 at 69-55. The Nets than scored the game’s next seven
points to take a commanding lead at 76-55 after Jason Kidd drained a long
jumper with under two minutes to play in the stanza.

New Jersey’s lead would balloon up to 19 points in the final quarter and
Boston would get no closer than 16 points.

Boston shot just 4-of-23 from three-point range in the loss.

The Celtics, who fell to 11-11 on the road, are off until Wednesday when they
