Orlando Magic Team Report – January 29

=== Orlando Magic Team Report – January 29 ===

(Sports Network) – The Orlando Magic try to stay on the winning track this
evening when they welcome the New Jersey Nets to the TD Waterhouse Centre.

Orlando comes into tonight’s tilt on a winning note after Tracy McGrady scored
39 points in a 104-100 victory over Washington at the MCI Center. Juwan Howard
contributed 21 points for the Magic, who snapped a two- game skid

Drew Gooden finished with 15 points and Rod Strickland had 14 with 10 assists
for Orlando, which won for just the second time in five games.

McGrady, who was a gametime decision last night after leaving Monday’s win
with an injured toe, has averaged 29.3 points in 13 games against the Nets
since joining the Magic prior to the 2000-01 campaign.

The Magic, who will close a brief two-game homestand on Saturday against the
LA Clippers, have won three of five and five of their last eight games at home
and are 6-15 on their floor this season.

New Jersey defeated the Magic earlier in the season and could have the
advantage tonight, as the road team in this series has won nine of the last 12
meetings. The Nets have also won six of eight and seven of the last 11
matchups, including five of the last six in Orlando.
