Washington Wizards Team Report – January 29

=== Washington Wizards Team Report – January 29 ===

(Sports Network) – The Washington Wizards found themselves on the losing end
of a 104-100 decision against the Orlando Magic at the MCI Center.

Larry Hughes, who missed the Wizards’ loss to Portland on Monday because of a
flareup of tendinitis in his right knee, scored 21 points to lead the Wizards,
who have lost three of their last four games. Juan Dixon had 20 points and
Kwame Brown contributed 15 points and 15 rebounds in the loss.

Orlando held a 102-93 lead with 1:12 remaining in the fourth quarter. Jarvis
Hayes made two free throws with 1:07 left to pull the Wizards within seven,
but Keith Bogans’ layup with 56 seconds to play restored the Magic’s nine-
point lead and the Wizards could not recover.

Dixon, who finished 4-of-7 from three-point range, hit a three-pointer just
before the final buzzer, but the outcome was not as close as the final score
might indicate.

The Wizards return to action on Friday against the Phoenix Suns.
