(Sports Network) – Chicago lost its third straight game on Friday.
The Bulls were crushed by the Golden State Warriors, 101-81, at The Arena in
Jamal Crawford netted a game-high 16 points in defeat, as the Bulls have
dropped nine of their last 10. Chris Jefferies added 12 points, while
Marcus Fizer and Ronald Dupree each scored 10.
Rick Brunson’s jumper just 90 seconds into the second quarter brought Chicago
within four at 24-20.
That was the closest Chicago would get the rest of the game, as Golden State
used the next seven minutes of the period to outscore the Bulls, 17-4, in
taking a 41-24 edge. Mike Dunleavy scored six points during the burst with two
treys from the top of the key, while Erick Dampier chipped in five, including
a dunk off an offensive rebound. The Warriors went into the locker room at
halftime with a 53-34 lead.
The second half wasn’t much different from the first.
Golden State led 68-47 on a Dampier layup with 6:10 left in the third quarter.
The Bulls got no closer than 20 points in the third.
The Warriors, who led by as much as 25 in the quarter, took an 81-58 advantage
into the fourth quarter.
The Bulls never got closer than 19 in the final 12 minutes.
Chicago visits the Portland Trail Blazers tonight.
