(Sports Network) – Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored 21 points and grabbed 12
rebounds to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 93-83 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at
Philips Arena.

Jason Terry added 19 points and Stephen Jackson netted 15 for the Hawks, who
snapped a two-game losing streak.

Atlanta began the game by scoring 18 of the first 22 points as Abdur-Rahim and
Terry each scored six points during the run. The Hawks’ lead reached 15 later
in the period and the cushion was 26-13 after one.

The lead ballooned to 19 early in the second period and it widened to 21
points on Jackson’s field goal late in the quarter. Atlanta held a commanding
53-34 edge at halftime.

Milwaukee scored the first seven points of the third quarter to pull within 12
points, but the Hawks quickly got the gap back to 19 on Jackson’s basket
midway through the period. Atlanta led 72-55 after 36 minutes.

The Bucks opened the fourth on an 11-0 run to pull within 72-66, and
Dan Gadzuric’s field goal with around five minutes left brought Milwaukee
within 78-74. However, the score would not get any closer as Atlanta
stretched the cushion to 86-78 in the final minutes to seal the win.

The Hawks are off until Monday when they host the Los Angeles Clippers.
