Phoenix Suns Team Report – February 11

=== Phoenix Suns Team Report – February 11 ===

(Sports Network) – The Phoenix Suns try to halt a four-game losing streak
tonight when they head to the Bay Area to face the Golden State Warriors at
the Arena in the final game for both teams prior to this weekend’s All-Star
break.

The Suns’ latest setback occurred on Tuesday, as they found themselves on the
wrong end of a 101-94 decision to the Toronto Raptors at America West Arena.

Amare Stoudemire scored a team-high 23 points for Phoenix, which suffered its
seventh loss in its last eight games. Joe Johnson added 19 points, while Shawn
Marion registered 14 points and 10 rebounds in the setback.

The Suns got within five on a jumper by Johnson 4:02 into the fourth quarter,
but consecutive buckets by Vince Carter and Donyell Marshall staked the
Raptors to a 90-81 edge with 6:22 to play.

Phoenix would get no closer than five points the rest of the way.

On the injury front, forward Zarko Cabarkapa missed his sixth consecutive
game. The Serbian rookie, who has been plagued by wrist problems, sustained an
allergic reaction over the weekend that caused a rash and likely won’t return
until after the break.

The Suns, who have just one win in eight games played on Wednesdays this
season, have dropped three straight and five of their last six on the road and
are 6-21 away from home this season.

Phoenix has taken two of three from the Warriors this season and has won four
of the last six and nine of the last 12 matchups. The Suns have also won four
of their last six in Oakland.
