New Jersey Nets Team Report – February 12

=== New Jersey Nets Team Report – February 12 ===

(Sports Network) – Kerry Kittles poured in 27 points to send New Jersey into
the All-Star break on a 10-game winning streak, as the Nets pounded the
Cleveland Cavaliers, 105-85, on Wednesday at Gund Arena.

Kenyon Martin had 21 points and a team-high nine rebounds, while Richard
Jefferson added 17 points and seven boards for the Nets, who haven’t lost
since January 23rd.

This is the Nets’ first 10-game winning streak since December 19, 2002 to
January 6, 2003. Even more impressive is the fact that all 10 wins have come
by double digits, and the streak followed a five-game skid. The last time a
team won 10 straight by double digits was the 1946-47 season, when the
Washington Capitols accomplished the feat under the legendary Red Auerbach.

The win also gives interim head coach Lawrence Frank a 9-0 start to his
professional coaching career, tying Kurt Rambis of the Los Angeles Lakers
(1997-98) and Buddy Jeannette of the Baltimore Bullets (1947-48) for the best
such start in league history.

New Jersey’s Jason Kidd finished with 14 points and 12 assists.

Earlier this season, New Jersey knocked off the Cavaliers, 97-82, on January 2
at Continental Airlines Arena.

Kittles has scored in double digits in four straight games. He is averaging
18.3 points and 3.3 rebounds that span.

The Nets are off until after the All-Star break. New Jersey hosts the Atlanta
Hawks on Wednesday, February 18.
