(Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Lakers try to stay on the winning track
tonight when they head to the Bay Area to face the Golden State Warriors at
the Arena.

On Tuesday, Kobe Bryant netted the go-ahead points with 31.8 seconds remaining
and finished with 31 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds to lift Los Angeles
over Portland, 89-86, at the Staples Center.

Shaquille O’Neal added 21 points and 11 boards for the Lakers, who have won
three of their last four at home.

O’Neal, though, is expected to be fined by the Lakers for missing practice. A
day after winning the MVP award at the All-Star Game, O’Neal was a no show at
practice for the Lakers on Monday.

Los Angeles, which will play 11 of its next 15 on the road, has dropped 12 of
its last 17 away from home and is 11-15 as a visitor this season.

The Lakers have split their two meetings with the Warriors this season and
have won eight of the last 12 matchups in the series. LA has also won seven of
its last 11 in Oakland.
