Raptors’ Carter placed on injured list
Toronto, ON (Sports Network) – Toronto Raptors All-Star swingman Vince
Carter was placed on the injured list Friday. He suffered an ankle injury
during Wednesday’s contest against San Antonio and is sidelined indefinitely.
Carter sustained a moderate sprain of the left ankle in the fourth quarter
of the game against the Spurs when he landed awkwardly after a jump shot. He
is eligible to return to the active roster on February 29 versus Boston.
In 50 games this season, Carter is averaging a team-high 21.2 points to go
along with 4.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest.
Meanwhile, forward Michael Bradley was activated from the injured list. He
began the campaign on the IL with a right knee injury and underwent
arthroscopic surgery on November 1.
