(Sports Network) – The San Antonio Spurs lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers,
89-87, on Friday at Gund Arena.

Tim Duncan tallied 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Spurs, who fell for the
first time in seven games.

With just 37 seconds to play, Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored over Duncan to give
the Cavaliers an 88-87 advantage and they held on for the victory.

After a Spurs’ turnover on the ensuing possession, San Antonio was forced to
foul Dajuan Wagner, who made one-of-two from the stripe for the game’s final
point. Manu Ginobili threw up a three as the horn sounded, but it came up
short for the Spurs.

The Spurs only shot 39 percent and lost the battle on the glass, 50-44.

Tony Parker finished with 15 points in the losing effort.

San Antonio is off unti Sunday when it visits Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota
Timberwolves.
