NBA fines McGrady

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Orlando guard Tracy McGrady was fined $10,000
by the NBA on Sunday.

The league decided to take action against McGrady due to the fact that he
kicked the ball into the crowd twice as time expired in the first half of
Orlando’s win over Detroit on Friday.

McGrady received two technical fouls and was ejected.

In 53 games this season, McGrady is averaging 27.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and
5.5 assists.

The 24-year-old shooting guard had a career season for the Magic in 2002-03,
posting averages of 32.1 points, 5.5 assists and 6.5 rebounds in 75 games.

Also on Sunday the league fined Washington first-year coach Eddie Jordan for
failing to leave the court in a timely manner at the end of his team’s defeat
to Indiana on Friday.
