Iverson receives positive news on shoulder
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) – Philadelphia guard Allen Iverson will be
a game-time decision for the 76ers’ game against former coach Larry Brown and
the Detroit Pistons Monday night due to a shoulder contusion.
Iverson sat out Sunday’s practice with his arm in a sling, but received good
news that the X-rays taken on his injured shoulder were negative.
In Thursday’s victory over Seattle, Iverson hit the scorer’s table hard with
his shoulder while running after a loose ball. He played the following night
in Los Angeles in a loss to the Lakers but felt pain causing him to get an X-
ray later that night.
“He does have soreness and range of motion right now is a problem for him,”
interim coach Chris Ford said. “We all know when game time comes, he usually
(can overcome it). So, we’ll wait and see until tomorrow.”
