=== Denver Nuggets Team Report – February 24 ===

(Sports Network) – The Denver Nuggets lost to the Memphis Grizzlies,
109-106, on Monday at The Pyramid.

Rookie sensation Carmelo Anthony posted game highs with 26 points and 14
rebounds for the Nuggets, who have dropped five of their last six on the road.
Denver finished up a three-game road swing at 0-3.

James Posey received a pass down in the paint and went right up with it to
give the Grizzlies a 107-106 edge and they held on for the victory. On the
ensuing possession, Andre Miller and Anthony each got shots off, but both
failed as Posey hauled down a rebound.

Denver was forced to foul Posey, who made both from the stripe with 3.9
seconds left to extend the Memphis advantage to 109-106. The Nuggets had one
more chance but failed to get an open look as Voshon Lenard tossed up a
desperation triple that fell short.

The Nuggets have scored at least 100 points 27 times (20-7) this season.

Anthony has scored in double digits and played 30 or more minutes in 23
straight games. He has also netted 20 or more points in 10 of his last 11
contests.

Denver is off until Wednesday when it hosts the Los Angeles Lakers. The
Nuggets, who are 1-2 against the Lakers this season, have lost to the Lakers
twice at the Staples Center. In the only meeting of the season between the two
squads at the Pepsi Center, the Nuggets defeated LA, 113-91, on January 7.
