Clippers waive veteran Polynice
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Clippers Thursday waived
center Olden Polynice.
The move likely spells the end of a long 15-year NBA career for Polynice,
whose lifetime averages stand at 7.8 points and 6.7 rebounds in 1,058 games.
He has also spent some time with Seattle, Utah, Detroit and Sacramento.
Polynice played in just two games this season for the Clippers, spending the
rest of the campaign on the injured list with a neck strain.
The 39-year-old Polynice was originally selected by Chicago in the first
round — eighth overall — of the 1987 NBA Draft before being traded to
the Sonics for the rights to Scottie Pippen.
