(Sports Network) – The Chicago Bulls were defeated by the Washington
Wizards, 95-87, on Thursday at the MCI Center.

Kirk Hinrich led the Bulls with 23 points, shooting 5-of-8 from three-point

their last eight games.

After Hinrich hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 75-75 just 30 seconds
into the fourth quarter, the Wizards responded with a 17-3 run to clinch the
contest. Kwame Brown hit a jumper with two minutes remaining to cap the
spurt, which saw Brown and Gilbert Arenas combine for eight points.

After missing his first two three-pointers, Hinrich hit five straight until
missing from behind the arc with 8:25 remaining in the contest. He finished 9-
of-17 from the field.

Chicago has lost six straight at Washington.

The Bulls are off until Saturday when they host the Golden State Warriors.
