(Sports Network) – Gilbert Arenas recorded a triple-double, scoring 21
points, dishing out 13 assists and grabbing 12 rebounds, to lead the
Washington Wizards to a 95-87 win over the Chicago Bulls on Thursday at the
MCI Center.

Kwame Brown finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Wizards, who won
their second straight after losing five in a row. Brendan Haywood added 15
points and Jerry Stackhouse contributed 13, as Washington won the season-
series from Chicago 3-1.

Arenas’ triple-double was the second of his career and season. His first came
earlier this season on November 5, 2003 against Dallas. His 12 rebounds tied a
career-high, which was also set on November 5 against the Mavericks.

After Kirk Hinrich hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 75-75 just 30
seconds into the fourth quarter, the Wizards responded with a 17-3 run to
clinch the contest. Brown hit a jumper with two minutes remaining to cap the
spurt, which saw Brown and Arenas combine for eight points.

Brown played 40 minutes and finished 7-for-10 from the field for Washington,
which snapped a two-game home losing streak and opened its four-game homestand
in successful fashion.

Arenas is averaging 19 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists in his last four
games. He has scored in double digits in 10 of his last 14 contests.

The Wizards are off until Saturday when they host the Los Angeles Lakers.
Earlier this season, the Lakers crushed Washington, 120-99, on November 26,
2003 at the Staples Center.
