(Sports Network) – Kevin Garnett posted 24 points, nine rebounds and nine
assists to lead Minnesota over Golden State, 91-81, on Friday at the Target
Center.

Division-leading Timberwolves, who have won 12 of 15 and 17 of their last 19

Cassell, improved to 23-7 at home this season.

Minnesota, which improved to 36-6 when leading after three quarters this year,
only turned the ball over nine times and shot 49 percent from the field for
the game.

Garnett has scored in double digits in all 59 of Minnesota’s games this
season and has played 40 or more minutes in 15 of the Timberwolves’ last 24
contests.

The Timberwolves return to action on Sunday when they head to the City of
Brotherly Love to face the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center.
Minnesota has won six of eight and eight of its last 11 on the road and is
20-9 away from home this season.

The Timberwolves beat the Sixers earlier in the year, but could be at a
disadvantage tonight, as the home team in this series has won five straight
meetings.

Minnesota, though, has won six of its last nine in Philadelphia.
