Raptors sign Glover; waive Baxter
Toronto, ON (Sports Network) – The Toronto Raptors Saturday signed guard Dion
Glover for the remainder of the season, waiving forward Lonny Baxter to make
room on the active roster.
The Raptors also announced that guard Alvin Williams, who has missed the
team’s last three game with a knee injury, was placed on the injured list.
Williams is averaging 8.9 points and 4.1 assists in 54 games this season.
Glover, in his fifth NBA season, was waived by the Hawks on Wednesday. He
averaged 10.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 55 games with Atlanta during the
Baxter came to Toronto in a six-player deal from Chicago earlier this season.
He averaged 4.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 36 games with the Raptors.
