=== Denver Nuggets Team Report – February 29 ===

(Sports Network) – The Denver Nuggets try to stop their season-high five-
game losing streak this evening when they start a four-game homestand against
the reeling New York Knicks at the Pepsi Center.

The Nuggets continued to struggle on Saturday and found themselves on the
wrong end of a 117-92 decision against the Tim Duncan-less San Antonio Spurs
at the SBC Center.

Rookie sensation Carmelo Anthony paced the Nuggets with 26 points. Earl
Boykins had 15 points, while Andre Miller and Rodney White both had 10 for
Denver, which has lost seven of its last 10.

Anthony, who has netted 20 or more points in 12 of his last 13 contests,
passed LaPhonso Ellis to become the Nuggets’ rookie season scoring leader on
Saturday with 1,212 points this year. Ellis tallied 1,205 points in the
1992-93 campaign.

The Nuggets, who are two games ahead of Utah for the eighth and final playoff
berth in the Western Conference, have won four of five and six of their last
eight at home and are 21-9 in the Rockies this season.

The Nuggets lost to the Knicks earlier in the year and has dropped three
straight and nine of the last 13 matchups. Denver has also been a generous
host, losing six of its last eight at home against New York.
