(Sports Network) – The two top teams in the Midwest Division meet tonight, as
the streaking Dallas Mavericks travel to Minnesota to face the first place
Timberwolves at the Target Center.

Dallas, which has won six straight games, trails the Timberwolves by 3 1/2
games.

This is the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two clubs.
Dallas has won twice on its homecourt, while the Timberwolves beat the Mavs,
114-109, on December 18, 2003 in front of their home crowd.

Dallas has won three of its last four contests with the Timberwolves. The Mavs
have lost three of four and four of their last six at Minnesota.

On Tuesday, Michael Finley scored a game-high 35 points and Antawn Jamison
added 21 to lead the Mavericks to a 107-96 victory over the Seattle
SuperSonics at American Airlines Center.

All-Star Dirk Nowitzki contributed 19 points and 12 rebounds in the win for
Dallas, which has won 10 of its last 12 overall. Marquis Daniels, starting in
place of point guardSteve Nash, added 14 points, nine rebounds and nine
assists in the win.

Nash, who sat out last night’s contest with a stomach virus, is also expected
to miss tonight’s game.

Dallas has scored over 100 points in 16 of its last 20 games.

The Mavericks are 11-16 on the road this season.

Finley has scored in double digits in 23 straight games. He has played at
least 33 minutes in 39 games in a row.
