Toronto Raptors Team Report – March 3

=== Toronto Raptors Team Report – March 3 ===

(Sports Network) – With their longest losing streak of the season now a
thing of the past, the Toronto Raptors will try to make it two straight wins
this evening when they wrap up a two-game road trip against the Washington
Wizards at the MCI Center.

On Tuesday, Vince Carter returned from the injured list in fine fashion,
scoring a game-high 27 points and dishing out eight assists, as Toronto
snapped a nine-game losing streak by beating the Miami Heat, 89-86, at
AmericanAirlines Arena.

Carter, who had missed six games with a moderate left ankle sprain, also added
five rebounds to help the Raptors to their first win since February 10th..
Donyell Marshall scored 24 points and Dion Glover added 13 in his second game
in a Toronto uniform.

With the win Toronto moved a half-game ahead of idle New York and into sole
possession of sixth-place in the race for the Eastern Conference playoffs.
However, just two games separates the Raptors from the Philadelphia 76ers and
Cleveland Cavaliers, who are tied for 10th in the conference.

Toronto, which will return home for a pair of games following tonight’s tilt,
has dropped four of five and eight of its last 12 on the road and is 15-15
away from home this season.

The Raptors have dropped two of three with the Wizards this season and have
lost five of eight and 10 of the last 15 meetings. Toronto has also won four
of its last six at the MCI Center.
