(Sports Network) – Stephon Marbury poured in a game-high 35 points and
handed out nine assists to lead the New York Knicks to a 109-103 win over the
Toronto Raptors on Friday at Air Canada Centre.

Nazr Mohammed posted season-highs with 20 points and 18 rebounds for the
Knicks, who have won two straight games following a six-game losing streak.
Allan Houston added 16 points in the win.

New York trailed by one after three quarters, but rallied to claim a 97-94
edge with just over five minutes left in the game. The Raptors did tie the
game at 97 apiece, but the Knicks then used a 7-0 spurt, culminated by
Houston’s three-pointer, to widen the gap to 104-97 with 2:54 remaining.

The Raptors could not get any closer than five points the rest of the game.

Kurt Thomas and Tim Thomas each had 13 points in the win for New York.The
Knicks connected on 48 percent from the field (45-of-94) and 4-of-7 from
behind the arc (57 percent). New York, which held a 49-37 edge on the
backboards, snapped its six-game road losing streak.

Marbury has scored in double digits in 16 of his last 17 games. He has
averaged 24.2 points and nine assists in his last 10 contests.

New York is off until Sunday when it visits the Washington Wizards. Earlier
this season, the Knicks knocked off the Wizards, 89-87, at Madison Square
Garden. The teams will also play on March 16th at MSG and on April 10th at the
MCI Center.
