Portland’s Randolph suspended one game

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Portland forward Zach Randolph was suspended
one game without pay Sunday for his part in several altercations during the
Trail Blazers’ 91-70 victory over Utah on Saturday.

His absence no doubt contributed to Portland’s 91-71 loss to the Los Angeles
Clippers at the Staples Center Sunday, the team’s fifth defeat in six games.

Randolph, the team’s leading scorer at 20.5 ppg and rebounder with a 10.8 rpg
average, was suspended for taking a swing at Utah forward Raja Bell while he
was on the floor and for his roles during an altercation with 4:57 remaining
in the fourth quarter.
