(Sports Network) – The Milwaukee Bucks were defeated by the Philadelphia
76ers, 97-92, on Monday at the Wachovia Center.

Michael Redd paced the Bucks with 20 points. Desmond Mason scored 18 points
and former Sixer Brian Skinner added 16 and seven rebounds for Milwaukee,
which has lost three straight.

Zendon Hamilton’s three-point play with 8:38 to go in the game gave Philly the
lead at 78-76. Greg Buckner then followed with a three and Eric Snow buried a
pair of foul shots for an 83-76 edge. The 76ers continued the quarter-opening
surge and made it 89-77 on Buckner’s fourth three-pointer of the night.

The Bucks didn’t go down easy and scored six straight points to close within
89-83 on a running jumper by Redd. Buckner answered with a 15-foot jumper and
Thomas added a slam for a 93-83 cushion with two minutes left.

Milwaukee then scored nine of the next 11 points and trailed by a 95-92 score
on a three by Redd. Hamilton, however, was sent to the stripe with 11.9
seconds left and made both shots to seal the win.

Redd has scored in double digits in 38 straight and 62 of 63 games this
season. He has averaged 21.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in his last
10 contests.

The Bucks are off until Wednesday when they host the Atlanta Hawks. It will be
the fourth and final meeting of the season between the Central Division
rivals. Milwaukee is 1-2 against the Hawks, as its only win cam at Atlanta on
December 2, 2003.
