=== Minnesota Timberwolves Team Report – March 10 ===

(Sports Network) – The Minnesota Timberwolves try to stay on the winning
track tonight when they wrap up a two-game road trip against the Portland
Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden.

On Tuesday, Kevin Garnett scored 22 points and pulled down 14 rebounds, as
Minnesota came back from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the
New Orleans Hornets, 94-89, at the New Orleans Arena.

Latrell Sprewell added 26 points and Sam Cassell contributed 24 points for the
Timberwolves, who snapped a two-game losing streak and won for just the second
time in their last five games.

The win kept Minnesota 2 1/2 games back of the Sacramento Kings for the top
spot in the Western Conference. The T-Wolves also upped their lead to three
games over the San Antonio Spurs in the Midwest Division.

Minnesota, which will return home for two games following tonight’s tilt, has
won seven of 10 and nine of its last 13 on the road and is 21-10 away from
home this season.

The T-Wolves have split their two meetings with the Blazers this season and
have won four of the last five matchups. Minny has also won four of six and
five of its last eight in Portland.
