Houston Rockets Team Report – March 12

=== Houston Rockets Team Report – March 12 ===

(Sports Network) – The Houston Rockets will continue their five-game
homestand on Saturday when they welcome the Memphis Grizzlies to the Toyota
Center.

Houston improved to 3-0 on the stand Thursday, as Cuttino Mobley scored 31
points in the Rockets’ 97-86 win over the New Orleans Hornets at the Toyota
Center.

Houston, which won its fourth straight game, has had a four-game winning
streak four different times this season, but it has never been able to win a
fifth.

Steve Francis and Jim Jackson each contributed 19 points in the victory, while
Yao Ming added 17 points and nine rebounds for Houston, which has won eight of
10 at home and is 24-10 on its home floor this season.

The Rockets have a winning record each month this season for the first time
since 1993-94, when they won the first of back-to-back NBA championships.

Houston is currently seventh in the Western Conference playoff race, two games
back of the Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks and five games in front of the
Denver Nuggets.

The Rockets, who have lost twice already this season to the Grizzlies, have
lost five of eight and six of the last 10 meetings with the Grizzlies. They
have also won five of their last seven at home in this series.
