Memphis Grizzlies Team Report – March 13

=== Memphis Grizzlies Team Report – March 13 ===

(Sports Network) – Two teams headed towards the playoffs meet tonight, as
the Memphis Grizzlies visit Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets at the Toyota
Center.

This is the third meeting of the season between the two squads. Memphis has
won both contests, picking up a win at home and on the road. The teams will
play again on March 26th at The Pyramid.

The Grizzlies have won five of eight and six of the last 10 meetings with the
Rockets. The Grizzlies have lost five of their last seven at Houston.

Memphis is in fifth place in the Western Conference, just one game behind the
Lakers and 1/2 game ahead of the sixth-place Mavericks.

The Grizzlies come into tonight’s game on a seven-game winning streak. Pau
Gasol scored 24 points with a career-high 18 rebounds, leading Memphis to a
98-89 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday at The Pyramid.

With the win, Memphis guaranteed at least a .500 record for the first time in
team history. The Grizzlies are 11-2 since the All-Star break and 6-0 in
March.

Bonzi Wells and James Posey added 19 points apiece in the win.

Memphis, which has won four straight on the road, is 16-16 as the visitor this
season.
