Denver Nuggets Team Report – March 15

(Sports Network) – Andre Miller finished one rebound shy of a triple-double,
posting 24 points, 11 assists and nine boards during Denver’s crucial 102-75
win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday at the Pepsi Center.

In a battle between two teams vying for the eighth and final playoff spot in
the ultra-competitive Western Conference, the game was never much of a
contest. The Nuggets jumped out to an 11-point lead after one quarter of play
and never looked back, as they defeated Utah for the third time this season
and moved 1 1/2 games clear of the Jazz in the playoff race.

Carmelo Anthony contributed 23 points and Nene chipped in 20 for Denver, which
has won three out of four following a four-game skid. Marcus Camby also did a
yeoman-like job in the win, posting 10 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks.

The Nuggets are off until Wednesday when they visit All-Star Paul Pierce and
the Boston Celtics at the FleetCenter. It will be the second and final meeting
of the season between the two squads. On December 7, 2003, the Nuggets lost to
the Celtics, 1116-111, at the Pepsi Center.

Anthony has scored at least 23 points in five straight and 10 of his last 11
games overall. He has averaged 27.2 points and 5.7 rebounds in his last 11
contests.

Miller has scored at least 22 points in three straight games. He has averaged
23 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists in that span.
