Sonics and Hawks meet in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) – The Seattle SuperSonics play the third contest
of a five-game road trip tonight, as they visit the Atlanta Hawks at Philips

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the two teams. On
November 9, the Hawks beat the SuperSonics, 91-81, at KeyArena.

Seattle trails the Denver Nuggets by seven games for the last spot in the
Western Conference playoff race.

On Saturday, Ray Allen scored 26 points and Brent Barry added 25 points and 10
assists, as the SuperSonics defeated the Orlando Magic, 115-101, at the TD
Waterhouse Centre. Vladimir Radmanovic netted 21 points for the Sonics, who
used three-point sharpshooting to snap a six-game losing streak.

Seattle went 14-for-28 from beyond the arc in the victory, including 6-of-9 in
the decisive fourth quarter. Barry, who handed out a game-high 10 assists,
finished 6-for-6 from three- point range. Allen was 4-for-8 from outside the

Allen has averaged 26.3 points in his last three games.

The Sonics are 3-12 in Tuesday games this season. Seattle is 12-20 on the

Atlanta lost to the Toronto Raptors, 101-84, on Sunday at Air Canada Centre.
Jason Collier had a solid game for the Hawks, scoring 21 points and grabbing
11 rebounds.

Stephen Jackson and Chris Crawford each netted 18 points apiece in the loss
for Atlanta, which has dropped five of its last six games. Jason Terry added
14 points in the setback.

Terry has averaged 18.5 points and 5.7 assists in his last 10 games.

The Hawks are 14-18 at home this season.

Atlanta has won two of the last three contests between the two teams.
Seattle has won six of its last eight at Atlanta.
