(Sports Network) – Dwyane Wade had 23 points, seven rebounds and a career-
high six steals to key a 96-83 victory for Miami over the New Orleans Hornets
on Tuesday at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Caron Butler added 20 points and seven boards for the Heat, winners of six
straight at home and six of their last seven overall. Rafer Alston chipped in
17 in the win and Lamar Odom grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds before being
ejected late in the third quarter after getting tangled up with New Orleans’
Robert Traylor.

With the win, the Heat remained tied with the New York Knicks for seventh-
place in the Eastern Conference playoff race, just a half-game back of the
Cleveland Cavaliers.
