(Sports Network) – Despite playing without the services of forwards Jamal
Mashburn and P.J. Brown, the Hornets recorded a dominating 104-80 win over the
Philadelphia 76ers at New Orleans Arena on Wednesday night.

Baron Davis registered 20 points and eight assists, while Jamaal Magloire
added 19 points and 12 rebounds. Robert Traylor tallied 18 points and 10
boards in the contest, and David West added 15 points and nine rebounds.

David Wesley rounded out the Hornets’ double-digit scorers with 13 points in
the contest. The Hornets dominated the 76ers on the boards, 45-30, in the
winning effort.

The Hornets hit 43 percent from the field, including 6-of-18 from three-point

down the stretch.

New Orleans has still won just four of its last 10 games, as it sits fourth in
the Eastern Conference playoff picture. The Hornets are 1 1/2 contests ahead
of fifth place Milwaukee and seven games behind Detroit for third.

The Hornets have been a different team at home, winning three straight while

this season.

The Hornets have won three of their last four meetings with the Sonics since
the start of the 2001-02 season.
