(Sports Network) – The Memphis Grizzlies fell to the Seattle SuperSonics,
97-94, on Thursday at The Pyramid.

Pau Gasol had 21 points, 15 rebounds and six assists for Memphis, which fell
one-half game behind idle Dallas for fifth place in the Western Conference
playoff race. James Posey added 13 points, as the Grizzlies lost for the
second time in three games.

Memphis’ Bonzi Wells suffered a right foot sprain, but came back to play. He
finished with only seven points in 18 minutes of action. Earl Watson got his
13th start for Memphis.

The Grizzlies shot only 19 percent (4-of-21) from three-point range in the

Gasol has recorded a double-double in four of his last five games. He has
scored in double digits in 66 of Memphis’ 68 games. Gasol has averaged 18.5
points and 10.1 rebounds in his last 10 contests.

The Grizzlies are off until Saturday when they host the Indiana Pacers. It is
the second and final meeting of the season between the two clubs. On December
29th, the Pacers beat Memphis, 94-86, at Conseco Fieldhouse.
