(Sports Network) – The Rockets dropped a 90-84 decision to the Golden State
Warriors at The Arena in Oakland on Friday night.

Cuttino Mobley poured in a game-high 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the
field, as the Rockets lost for the fifth time in their last seven road games.
Steve Francis added 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the losing

Maurice Taylor laid in a basket with 9:03 remaining in the game to bring the
Rockets within one at 59-58. But Golden State countered by going on a 19-5 run
over the next seven minutes to all but seal the victory.

Clarence Weatherspoon netted 11 points, while Taylor and Yao Ming added 10
each. Recently signed veteran Charles Oakley didn’t play in the contest.
Oakley was inked to a 10-day contract late Thursday.

Turnovers once again haunted the Rockets, as the committed 22 miscues in the

Houston remains seventh in the Western Conference — two games behind sixth
place Memphis and five contests ahead of fading Denver.

The Rockets will look to get back on the winning track Sunday, when they
