(Sports Network) – The Hornets suffered a disappointing 91-80 loss at the
hands of the Seattle SuperSonics at home on Friday night.
Baron Davis had 25 points and seven assists for the Hornets, who had a three-
game home win streak halted. Jamaal Magloire contributed 13 points and eight
boards in the loss.
P.J. Brown returned to the court for the Hornets after missing the team’s
previous two encounters with an ankle injury. Brown had six points, eight
rebounds and five assists in 32 minutes.
New Orleans used a 12-0 run, highlighted by five points from Davis, in the
fourth quarter to grab a 75-74 advantage with 5:12 remaining. But the Sonics
took over from there, finishing off the contest with a 17-5 burst.
New Orleans fell to 4-19 in games when they score 15 points or less in a
The Hornets remain fourth in the Eastern Conference playoff picture — two
games ahead of fifth place Milwaukee. New Orleans trails third place Detroit
by 8 1/2 contests.
New Orleans will look to get back on the winning side of things Sunday
evening, when it hosts the Toronto Raptors.
