Los Angeles Clippers Team Report – March 20

=== Los Angeles Clippers Team Report – March 20 ===

(Sports Network) – The Clippers couldn’t top their crosstown rival Friday
night, falling 106-100 to the surging Lakers at the Staples Center.

Corey Maggette topped all scorers with 31 as the Clippers lost for the 10th
time in 12 games. Elton Brand chipped in 15 points while Matt Barnes posted a
career-high with 14 in the loss. The Clippers fell to the Lakers for the 26th
time in the last 29 meetings.

The Clippers, 0-of-5 from three-point land, were without the services of guard
Quentin Richardson, who missed the game with lower back spasms. Chris Wilcox
also sat out with an ailing left Achilles injury. It is unknown when the duo
will return to the court.

It appears that Clippers guard Marko Jaric is hurt worse than expected. A bone
scan done on his left foot revealed a stress fracture. Jaric, who has been on
the injured list since March 12, will be out for at least three more weeks.

The Clippers own the second-worst record (27-42) in the Western Conference.
Only the Phoenix Suns are worse at 22-47.

The Clippers have a day off before returning to the court Sunday against the
Golden State Warriors at the Staples Center.
