=== Minnesota Timberwolves Team Report – March 20 ===

(Sports Network) – Minnesota registered a much-needed 93-80 win over the
Phoenix Suns on Friday night at America West Arena.

Wally Szczerbiak scored a game-high 24 points to lead Minnesota past the Suns.
Szczerbiak, who missed the first 53 contests of the campaign due to a left
foot injury, hit 8-of-13 shots from the floor.

Guard Troy Hudson played just three minutes due to a sprained right ankle.
Hudson won’t likely return to the court until early next week.

Kevin Garnett added 17 points and 20 rebounds en route to his NBA-leading 60th
double-double of the season for the Timberwolves, who won for the first time
in three games.

Minnesota held Phoenix to 38 percent shooting and won the battle on the glass,
50-39.

The Timberwolves are 13-4 in games played on Friday this season.

Minnesota must play well down the stretch, as it leads the Midwest Division by
just two games over San Antonio and trails West leader Sacramento by three
games.

Minnesota swept the four-game season series with the Suns and has won 12 of
the last 16 games between the teams.

The T’Wolves will have a day off before taking on Denver Nuggets at the Target
Center Sunday afternoon.
