=== Denver Nuggets Team Report – March 20 ===

(Sports Network) – The Nuggets couldn’t stop the surging Detroit Pistons
Friday night, as they fell 94-75 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Carmelo Anthony netted 20 points for the Nuggets, who have dropped two
straight contests following a two-game winning streak. Nene had 13 points and
10 boards in the loss. Anthony had at least 20 points for the 40th time this

Detroit shot 53 percent from the field (40-of-75), while the Nuggets made 33-
of-81 attempts (41 percent). Detroit held a 48-32 edge in points in the paint.

The Nuggets have struggled mightily against the Pistons in recent years,
losing seven straight and 13 of their past 15 meetings. Denver hasn’t won at
the Palace in its last eight trips.

The Nuggets have lost seven of their last nine road contests. For the year,
Denver has posted just a 13-22 record in foreign buildings.

Denver has seen its once secure grip on eighth place in the West loosen in
recent weeks. The Nuggets now own just a half-game advantage over ninth place
Utah in the West.

The Nuggets will look to get back on the winning track Sunday, when they
travel to the Target Center to face the Minnesota Timberwolves.
