Indiana Pacers Team Report – March 20

=== Indiana Pacers Team Report – March 20 ===

(Sports Network) – Indiana is in little danger of falling out of the top
spot in the East, as it still owns a six-game advantage over the Detroit

However, the Pacers have lost two of their last three after falling 94-92 to
the Kings at Conseco Fieldhouse Friday evening.

The Pacers blew a 17-point lead en route to the tough defeat. Jermaine O’Neal
did his best to lead the Pacers with 23 points, hitting 9-of-20 from the
field. O’Neal also grabbed seven rebounds and blocked three shots in the
losing effort.

Jonathan Bender came off the bench to tally 15 points and Austin Croshere
added 11. Jeff Foster performed well in the post with 12 rebounds and 10
points, while Al Harrington chipped in 10 points.

The Pacers hurt themselves by hitting just 40 percent from the field, while
allowing Sacramento to drain 45 percent of its attempts. Sacramento also won
the rebounding war, 48-40, in the contest.

It didn’t help the Pacers that star guard Ron Artest missed the game due to
suspension. Artest was slapped with the game suspension for elbowing
Portland’s Derek Anderson in the face during Wednesday night’s 80-71 win.

Artest will be back in the lineup tonight, when the Pacers take on the Memphis
Grizzlies at The Pyramid. Indiana has won 14 of the 16 all-time meetings with
the Grizzlies, including a 94-86 decision at Conseco on Dec. 29.
