(Sports Network) – Kwame Brown continued his impressive play Friday, as the
Wizards tallied a 94-84 win over the Atlanta Hawks at the MCI Center.

Brown registered 27 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Wizards to the victory.
The youngster was coming off a game that saw him establish new career highs
with 30 points and 19 rebounds in a win over Sacramento on Wednesday. Brown
hit 10-of-14 shots from the field and has now converted 22-of-30 in his last
two games.

Gilbert Arenas recorded a triple-double for Washington, which won its second
straight following a seven-game skid. Arenas finished with 13 points, 10
assists and 10 rebounds to record his third triple-double of the season.

Jared Jeffries contributed 10 points and nine rebounds in the victory, while
Etan Thomas chipped in 15 points. Washington, which gave up 83 points in the
second half of a 138-124 loss at Atlanta last week, surrendered just 84 points
in this contest.

The Wizards won the battle of the boards, 51-44.

The Wizards won for just the second time in five home tilts. Washington will
look to complete the sweep of its three-game homestand when it hosts Miami on
Sunday.
