(Sports Network) – The Grizzlies posted a 99-95 win over the East-leading
Indiana Pacers at The Pyramid on Saturday night.

Pau Gasol scored 17 points to pace the Grizzlies, while Stromile Swift came
off the bench to contribute 17 points for Memphis. James Posey netted 16
points for the Grizzlies, who have won four of their last six games.

Jason Williams chipped in with 10 points and 10 assists, while Mike Miller
added 13 in the triumph.

The Pacers used a 7-2 spurt to regain the lead in the opening stages of the
final frame. Austin Croshere’s short jumper gave Indiana a 86-83 advantage
with under eight minutes left in the contest.

Memphis chipped away at the Pacers lead late in the contest. Bo Outlaw drained
two free throws to stake the Grizzlies to a 91-89 edge with 2:30 remaining in
the contest.

Posey would extend the Memphis lead with a bank shot in the lane, making it
93-90 with under two minutes left. The cushion would grow to six points on
Memphis next possession as it was Posey again with the big basket. His three
point play with 1:29 left pushed the score to 96-90. Memphis held on down the

Memphis posted 18 fast break points in the contest. The Grizzlies have won 11
of their last 13 home games.

The Grizzlies reside sixth in the Western Conference, a half-game behind fifth
place Dallas and three contests ahead of Houston.

Memphis has a few days off before taking on the Toronto Raptors at The Pyramid
on Tuesday night.
