(Sports Network) – Milwaukee is in a tailspin with four consecutive losses,
including Saturday’s 123-111 defeat in Phoenix.

The Bucks remain fifth in the Eastern Conference — 1 1/2 games behind fourth
place New Orleans and 2 1/2 contests ahead of sixth place Miami.

Joe Smith netted 19 points for the Bucks in the losing effort, while Keith Van
Horn tallied 13 points. Brevin Knight added 12 points and Desmond Mason
chipped in 11, while Brian Skinner and Michael Redd tallied 10 points apiece.

The Bucks hit 50.6 percent of their shots from the field, but went 0-for-6
from three-point range. Milwaukee could not stop the Suns, who drained 54.4
percent from the field. Phoenix drilled 10-of-18 (.556) from beyond the arc.

Milwaukee has dropped 16 straight trips to the Valley of the Sun. The Bucks’
last victory in Phoenix was Feb. 21, 1987.

The Bucks have dropped 11 of their last 14 road tilts. For the season,
Milwaukee is only 10-23 on the road.

Milwaukee will remain on the road this evening, when it takes on the mighty
Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center.

Los Angeles has won five straight and 14 of the last 16 meetings with the
Bucks. The Bucks have dropped two consecutive and 10 of their last 11 road
tilts against the Lakers.
