(Sports Network) – The New Jersey Nets lost to the Dallas Mavericks,
101-98, on Sunday at Continental Airlines Arena.

Richard Jefferson scored 22 points and Rodney Rogers added 20 points with 10
boards for New Jersey, which missed two of its best players in its third
straight loss and fourth in five contests. Lucious Harris netted 21 in the

All-Star guard Jason Kidd is on the injured list with a bone bruise on his
left knee. Kenyon Martin sat out with left knee tendinitis. Both are expected
to be out for an extended period of time, possibly into the post-season.

Jefferson has averaged 23.3 points, five rebounds and 3.6 assists in his last
10 games.

The Nets are are off until Tuesday when they visit the Chicago Bulls. It will
be the third meeting of the season between the two squads. New Jersey is 2-0
against the Bulls.
