Ankle injury to shut down Davis for at least one game

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – New Orleans Hornets star guard Baron Davis
sprained his left ankle in Tuesday’s 82-81 victory over Detroit. He will not
play on Thursday against Atlanta.

Davis was injured in the closing seconds of the third quarter diving for a
loose ball. He had 12 points, 10 rebounds and was two assists shy of his first
triple-double of the season before leaving the contest.

Davis is averaging 23.0 points and 7.6 assists this season. He injured the
same ankle in mid-January and missed six of the next 11 games.

The Hornets play Phoenix on Friday.
