=== Minnesota Timberwolves Team Report – April 1 ===

(Sports Network) – The Timberwolves picked up a huge 90-83 win over the
Seattle SuperSonics at the Target Center Wednesday night.

Kevin Garnett posted 27 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in leading the
Timberwolves to the victory. Latrell Sprewell hit six three-point shots and
also finished with 27 points for Minnesota, which has won three in a row and
six of its last eight contests.

Garnett reached the 20-point mark for the 62nd time this season — breaking
the franchise record shared previously by him and Tony Campbell.

The Timberwolves, who set a franchise record with their 52nd win of the
season, moved within one game of Sacramento for the top spot in the Western
Conference, as the Kings lost to San Antonio. Meanwhile, the Spurs remained 1
1/2 games behind Minnesota for the lead in the Midwest Division.

Minnesota won the season series 3-1 with the Sonics, and has captured seven of
the last 11 meetings between the two teams.

The Timberwolves placed guard Troy Hudson on the injured list with a left
ankle sprain and signed free agent guard Darrick Martin for the remainder of
the season. Martin played 11 minutes and scored two points.

Minnesota has a day off before returning to the court against the Washington
Wizards Friday night at the Target Center. The T’Wolves has three home games
and three road contests remaining.
